The members of NPM group conducted visit to penitentiary No. 12.

The members of the Ombudsman’s NPM group conducted long-term repeated visit to the penitentiary No.12 of the Ministry of Justice Penitentiary Service.
The premises of the institution were inspected; detention and the treatment of inmates were investigated.
During the visit a number of violations were found. Thus, more than 50 inmates were received; some of those persons said about problems with detention conditions and treatment
The Ombudsman addressed to the Ministry of Justice for investigation of those cases and taking urgent measures.
