The members of the Ombudsman’s NPM group conducted visit to TDP and Treatment Unit.

The members of Ombudsman’s NPM group which was established in accordance
with Optional Protocol to the UN Convention against Torture and other Cruel, Inhuman or Degrading
Treatment, reviewed the Treatment Unit of the Penitentiary Service of
Ministry of Justice and No: 3 Investigatory Isolator of Shuvalan. Detainees
were interviewed; their rights were explained to them.
During the conversation, those persons didn’t complain of treatment and
detention conditions. However some of them complained on investigations made
about them.
The heads of establishments which were mentioned above were recommended to
improve the situation in the detention facilities.
