According to the Article 14 of the
Constitutional law of the Republic of Azerbaijan on "The Commissioner for Human
Rights of the Republic of Azerbaijan”, annual report of the Ombudsman should be
submitted to the President and should be sent to the Azerbaijan Parliament,
Cabinet of Ministers, Constitutional Court, Supreme Court and Prosecutor
General after finishing current year not being two months late. Annual report has been sent to the
President of theRepublicofAzerbaijanand to the other state bodies in
accordance with Constitutional Law on 29 February 2012. The issues of restoration of violated
human rights by officials, state and local authorities, preventing human rights
violations activities in this field, results of legal education and scientific
researches, partnership with government bodies, public and mass media,
international relations enshrined in the Constitution of the Republic of
Azerbaijan and in the international treaties as well as generalized proposals
and recommendations of the Commissioner on human rights have been represented
in the 2011 annual report on "Status of providing and preventing human rights
in Azerbaijan”. It has been considered the annual
report to be heard at the session of Azerbaijan Parliament on 7 March. The report will be published after the
hearing for public awareness.
