Regular visit was conducted to Baku Investigatory Isolator

According to the instructions
of the Commissioner for Human Rights, the members of the Ombudsman’s National
Preventive Mechanism visited investigatory isolator of the Penitentiary Service
of the Ministry of Justice in Baku. They met with some detainees privately and
their rights were explained to them.
Along with, in private
conversations with the detainees –Arif Hajily, Tural Abbasly and Mahammad
Majidly were not complained about the imprisonment conditions and treatment by
the staff.. However, they disclosed a concern about investigation process of
some detainees’. Recommendations with regard to better improvement of the
imprisonment conditions were given to the staff of the detention place.
